Goal Diggers FC is a non-profit club set up in London to make football more available and accessible to all women and non-binary people regardless of previous experience or ability.

“I founded Goal Diggers FC (GDFC) in September 2015 because I was fed up of being told football was a man’s game – so I created GDFC to flip the script. The main aim of GDFC is to show that football doesn’t need to be gendered – football is a sport for everyone. In order to make GDFC as inclusive and accessible as possible, membership prices are kept low and teams are based on availability instead of ability, with matches being open to all members on a first sign up basis. This fosters a uniquely encouraging environment free from the inter-player rivalry that comes with ability based selection. It also means players have their own agency over how much football they get to play each week and at what ability level.”

MEMBERSHIP
Our membership blocks run for 6 months - January through June and July through December. Regular membership gives you access to weekly training sessions at Haggerston Park, the possibility to sign up for leagues, socials, a kit shirt, tour and more.
We aim to reduce as many barriers to playing as possible because we believe there is an ALL in footbALL for a reason. We have tiered membership pricing - including no/low income bursary spots. All we ask is that you play football for GDFC as your only (or main) club. This is because our waitlist overall is oversubscribed, so please consider this before signing up. We want to continue to provide a welcoming space to those who do not have alternative opportunities to play football.

GDFC is a non-ability based trans inclusive team for women, Non-Binary & GNC players of all ages. As part of our commitment to increasing diversity and inclusion in women’s football we are offering dedicated membership spaces to People of Colour, Non-Binary People, GNC People and Trans Women.MEMBERSHIP OPEN: KEEPER SPOTS
If you are a keeper (of any ability!) then we have a spot for you. Along with outfield training on our Haggerston pitch, you’ll have the opportunity to join dedicated sessions with our Keeper Coach Jack (he/him) once a month, and play for the club as a keeper
in a number of differing ability fun and inclusive leagues.If you would like to join either waitlist, please click the corresponding link below. Hackney Council have given us a grant which has opened up additional spots for Hackney members, so please specify on the form if this is you.
